🚔👮♂️ Criminal Justice Students Explore Careers in Public Safety 👩🚒🚑
Our high school Criminal Justice students recently participated in an educational field trip to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth. This unique experience gave students firsthand exposure to the training environment for Georgia’s law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency responders, and other public safety professionals.
During the tour, students observed specialized training facilities, learned about academy requirements, and gained insight into the physical, academic, and ethical standards expected of public safety personnel. They saw how classroom instruction is combined with realistic, scenario-based training to prepare recruits for real-world situations.
The visit left students with a deeper understanding of the discipline, responsibility, and commitment required to pursue a career in criminal justice and public safety. Many walked away with a renewed respect for first responders and a clearer vision of the career pathways available within this important field.

🍫🩺 Learning Was Sweet in Essentials of Healthcare!
In Mrs. Story’s Essentials of Healthcare class, students took a delicious approach to learning by comparing the layers of the integumentary system to a Snickers bar!
By breaking it down layer by layer, students made connections between the candy bar and the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis, making a complex concept both memorable and fun.
Who knew anatomy could be this sweet? 🍫✨

🔬🧵 Forensics in Action!
Students in Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Staines’ Forensic science classes took a deep dive into trace evidence with a hands-on fiber lab!
Using microscopes, students carefully examined fibers collected from various articles of clothing, comparing characteristics like texture and structure to identify key differences.
To wrap up the investigation, students conducted burn tests on different fibers, observing how each one reacted to heat and even noting the distinct odors produced. These observations helped them distinguish between natural and synthetic materials just like real forensic scientists!
Engaging labs like this bring science to life and show how even the smallest clues can make a big difference in an investigation. 🕵️♀️✨

🧵🔎 Fiber Fun in Forensics!
Mrs. Alexander is bringing trace evidence to life as students dive into the world of fibers! From distinguishing between natural and synthetic fibers to understanding fiber transfer and how tiny clues can make a big impact on investigations, this lesson had students thinking like real forensic scientists.
Whether it’s cotton from plants or wool from animals, every fiber tells a story, and our students are learning how to read the evidence! 🕵️♀️🧶
Hands-on learning + real-world application = a great day in Forensics!

🐄🌟 Join Us for the Tift County Quality Steer & Heifer Show! 🌟🐄
📅 Monday, March 2
⏰ 6:00 PM
This is the final show of the 2026 season and features Tift County exhibitors only! These students have worked tirelessly all season to prepare for this moment, often with little recognition, and they deserve a packed barn cheering them on as they enter the ring one last time this year.
While the show begins at 6:00 PM, the hard work starts long before. If you’re able, come early to see the care, dedication, and preparation that go into getting each animal ready. Take time to meet the exhibitors and ask about their projects—they are impressive in the ring, but even more impressive outside of it.
Let’s fill the livestock barn with teachers, administrators, family, and friends as we celebrate their commitment and hard work!
We hope to see you there! 🎉
