Social Studies in Action!

Mrs. J Drawdy's first graders have been busy becoming young entrepreneurs! Students worked together to create their own businesses while applying what they have learned about Economics. Students also participated in Market Day, where they shared their businesses with classmates and experienced buying and selling as both producers and consumers. We have some very creative business owners in the making! 💡

Mrs. Godwin's 1st grade students worked together in groups to compare and contrast two read aloud stories.

In honor of Read Across America Week, Selfies with Mrs. Farley has become a wonderful addition to the media center! Students get to spin the wheel for a chance to try a new genre, pick from the treasure box, or snap a selfie with Mrs. Farley!
Encouraging a love for reading starts with making books fun, exciting, and part of everyday life. When children discover stories that spark their imagination, they become lifelong readers.
We believe reading opens the door to endless possibilities. By fostering a love for reading, we help our students grow their imagination, build confidence, and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Georgia’s Path2College 529 Plan and the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) have partnered to offer the Path from Pre-K to College Sweepstakes. Ms. Hughes’ 3rd grade class received a special gift today from the Tifton Woman’s Club. Members generously provided dictionaries for all third-grade students. The students are excited and look forward to using their new dictionaries to support their learning.

Mrs. Connell's 3rd grade class received a special treat today. The Tifton Women's Club generously donated dictionaries to every third grade student. Students can not wait to use their dictionaries. Thank you Tifton Women's Club!
