Students in Mrs. Harvin’s 3rd grade GATE Resource Class has been learning all about pollution and the impact it has on humans, animals, and plants and what we can do to reduce pollution to help our planet. Today they completed a (stinky) pollution lab and had to answer the question how does having a hard shell affect the amount of pollution an egg can be exposed to versus a soft egg with no shell, such as amphibian eggs.

Mrs. Swan purchased a book at the Tower of London during her spring break travels to share with Mrs. Oppel’s kindergarten students. One of Mrs. Oppel’s students said his favorite animal is a castle raven, and since the Tower of London is famous for its ravens, she wanted to share this silly story about Paddington Bear, his favorite marmalade sandwiches, and the castle ravens. They loved learning all about the Tower of London and the legend of the ravens! Thanks Mrs. Swan!
