Tift County Schools is pleased to announce that Hannah Bennett has been named the next principal of G.O. Bailey Elementary School, effective for the 2026–2027 school year.
A native of Waycross, Georgia, Bennett brings a strong background in instructional leadership and a passion for building positive school cultures. She currently serves as an assistant principal at Ware Middle School. Prior to that role, she worked as both an Instructional Coach and classroom teacher, where she supported teachers and students in strengthening academic achievement and instructional practices.
Throughout her career, Bennett has been committed to fostering strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. She believes collaboration and engagement are key to creating a school environment where everyone works together toward shared success.
Bennett said her desire to lead at the elementary level is rooted in the important role early education plays in a child’s life.
“The foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and character is built in the earliest years of a child’s education,” Bennett said. “Serving as an elementary principal provides the opportunity to help shape a nurturing, safe, and academically rigorous environment where students develop not only essential skills but also a love of learning.”
Superintendent Natalie Gore said Bennett’s leadership style and commitment to students make her a strong fit for the G.O. Bailey community.
“Ms. Bennett brings a strong instructional background and a genuine passion for building relationships with students, staff, and families,” Gore said. “We are excited to welcome her to Tift County Schools and look forward to the leadership she will provide as she works with the G.O. Bailey team to support student success.”
Tift County Schools looks forward to the leadership Bennett will bring to G.O. Bailey Elementary as she works with staff, students, and families to continue building a culture of excellence.
