Mrs. Swan stopped by as a guest reader and shared the hilarious book Do Not Open This Book by Andy Lee. The students loved every moment—and the fun doubled when her special friend, Mrs. Robinson, joined in too! 💙📖

Mrs. Godwin's 1st grade went on a "Text Feature Scavenger Hunt" today. Students worked with a partner to find different text features in their non-fiction book. Working together, learning and having fun is what 1st grade is all about.

The Tifton-Tift County Public Library, in partnership with Tift County Schools, is proud to provide free PINES Library Access for Youth (PLAY) library cards to all students in grades Pre-K through 12.
There is nothing families need to do to participate—students are automatically issued a PLAY library card to support their academic success.
Returning students: Accounts have been automatically updated.
New students: You will receive an email notification once your child’s PLAY card has been issued.
Congratulations to the classes in each grade level that earned the Highest Perfect Attendance for the month of August! Thank you to all our students and families for making attendance a priority—every day counts!

Today Mrs. Godwin's 1st grade class got to enjoy some ice cream while learning about adjectives. Students had to write adjectives to describe the ice cream by using their 5 senses. Learning grammar can be so much fun when you add in ice cream.
