Georgia Habitats

Mrs. Karin Brown's third grade students at G. O. Bailey completed a study of Georgia habitats by creating word webs that describe their given habitat. The students used the Georgia State Parks guide to locate state parks in their habitat. The students then read about each park and located words that describe the habitats from the park descriptions. This activity allowed the students to locate information from an informational brochure, introduced them to various parks in Georgia, as well as learning about the characteristics of Georgia habitats.
